My experience at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu was truly memorable. From the moment I arrived, the service was warm, professional, and attentive. The property itself is stunning, with breathtaking views and a unique historic charm. The room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained, and the overall atmosphere of the hotel was both relaxing and elegant. The staff consistently made sure my needs were met, which made the stay even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this hotel for a memorable and comfortable getaway.

Stunning, with beautiful views and a historic charm. Great if you're looking for a peaceful getaway. The surrounding nature is a definite highlight. The room was comfortable, though a bit dated. Housekeeping was somehow questionable and service was okay - not as consistent as I expected from a Fairmont. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, but there’s room to elevate the guest experience.

This hotel is absolutely wonderful! The interior is stunning, with elegant details throughout, and the rooms are spotless and exceptionally comfortable. The view is simply breathtaking. I highly recommend booking a room overlooking the river for an unforgettable experience. What truly sets this hotel apart, though, is the staff. Their warmth, professionalism, and dedication make you feel genuinely cared for, and they go above and beyond to ensure every detail of your stay is perfect. A special mention goes to the concierge service, which was outstanding and made my visit even more memorable! If you have a special event in your life, this is the best place to have it!

I stayed at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu once, and it was the kind of visit that stays with you long after you leave. The hotel’s setting is extraordinary — perched above the St. Lawrence River with views that feel both grand and calming. Even before stepping inside, the landscape sets a tone of quiet luxury and natural beauty. Inside, the atmosphere is elegant without being intimidating. The historic architecture, the warm woodwork, and the thoughtful details give the hotel a timeless character. My room was spacious and comfortable, and waking up to the river view felt like a small gift each morning — something many guests highlight as a defining part of their stay. What impressed me most was the service. Staff were consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, whether at reception, in the restaurants, or around the property. The hotel feels large, yet the experience remains personal — a balance that’s not easy to achieve. The grounds are beautiful as well, inviting you to wander, pause, and take in the scenery. For a one‑time visit, it offered a memorable blend of comfort, history, and natural beauty. It’s the kind of place where you feel both taken care of and connected to the landscape — a stay that lingers in the best way. Update: Thank you, Adrien — this was the longest and most thoughtful response I’ve ever received to a review! I truly appreciate the care and attention you and your team put into both the guest experience and your follow-up. My stay at Fairmont Le Manoir Richelieu was memorable in all the best ways, and your kind words just add to that feeling. Wishing you and the team continued success — and I hope to return one day for another enchanting visit.

A lovely stay but with room for improvement. Pros: Beautiful building, numerous amenities on site (pools, spa, two restaurants, multiple bars, gorgeous grand hall, casino, etc) Excellent sense of hospitality throughout staff Beautiful area of the world overlooking the St Lawrence Cons: Parking can be very tricky, especially since the lots are all on a one way loop, so if you miss a lot or it is full, you have to loop all the way around. it took us a good 10-15 minutes to find a spot initially. This is compounded by google maps not accurately displaying the roads, suggesting you drive the wrong way down a one way, etc. If the hotel could work with google to more accurately display street direction and parking lot locations it would be very helpful. In addition, signage is sparse and not lit up at night. A few lamps would be a great improvement for almost no cost. Ordering room service was a nightmare- I had unplugged the alexa tablet in the room for privacy reasons, only to find that the phone in the room (which was mislabeled with the wrong room number) did not work. I plugged the alexa in and asked for room service, and it kicked me to a lengthy robot operator list of options, then put me on hold, then I finally was able to put in my order. The old phone instead had a single button the would immediately connect me to room service. This would have been much preferable. If you are going to institute high tech modern solutions, ensure they are actually better than the old school ways first please! It is also indeed quite expensive. There isn’t a ton to do in Malbaie, we stayed for 3 nights but ended up taking the trip to quebec city to fill our time. If you like gambling this isn’t an issue as the casino is connected to the hotel via an underground tunnel. We may stay again, but likely only if we have a specific reason to be in the area, and we would hope to see the signage improved at that time.

Excellent stay. Checked in Friday, checked out Monday. Loved the atmosphere, staff was extremely helpful and friendly, amazing scenery! Lots to do - hiking, snowshoeing, zip lining, indoor/outdoor pool, snowmobiling (all booked, so wasn’t able to participate), relaxing by the fireplace, live music, etc….Also lots to do close by (skiing, dogsledding, hiking, etc). Need to come back in the summer! Only challenge was trying to find a place to eat, as the 2 restaurants were fully booked most of the time.

We enjoyed our stay at Fairmont. We had a room overlooking the river. It was calming and relaxing. Was raining that afternoon when we checked in and quite chilly so we didn't get to enjoy much the outdoor til the next day. Staff gave us free bottled water and a pair of slippers, (which was really appreciated). Had dinner at Bellerive. The next day my sister and I had breakfast buffet. The staff at the resto were very friendly and attentive. Thank you for the excellent service!!

Beautiful and charming Historic Hotel that is only surpassed by the simply amazing setting and spectacular views. Imagine enjoying a stunning sunrise with your morning coffee from your beautiful room or patio perched high above the shores of the mighty St. Lawrence River. Our Snowmobile trip revolved entirely around this Hotel and we enjoyed all aspects of the historic building, wonderful spa, cozy room, skating rink and underground parking for our snowmobiles(very cool and secure) All things positive so far, however, we did have a negative experience while dining in the Saint Laurent Dining Room where our evening and diner was tainted by a very rude server. It was truly unfortunate that one server could have such a negative impact on our experience. Establishments and businesses are often and should be judged by how they handle difficult and negative situations and not by an individuals actions and I will say that when we highlighted the issue with Mr. Philippe, the Directeur of Food and Beverage, he and his staff addressed the issue swiftly, effectively and they did everything they could to ensure we were satisfied with the outcome. Mr Philippe is to be commended on his professionalism and genuine caring response. He is the ultimate reflection of a professional dedicated to ensuring his clients and guests have a wonderful and positive experience. We would go back and strongly suggest to family and friends that they take the opportunity to experience this wonderful hotel and all of its outstanding amenities and all that it has to offer right here in Canada
